Office of Inspector General Audit Support

OIG Audits — GSA Office of Inspector General (OIG) audits are more intricate than Contractor Assessments and are primarily conducted to ensure broad compliance. Businesses with high GSA contract sales are more likely to undergo OIG audits, although they can also occur due to reported violations, random checks, or other reasons.

OIG Audits differ from Contractor Assessments in scope and are much more extensive in analysis. They maintain subpoena power, perform detailed reviews of all your transactions, and commit to lengthy data collection efforts to evaluate specific issue areas.

We provide essential support throughout these engagements and will meet with OIG officers to determine scope specifics and timeline details, and will then meet with you and your team to prepare and develop an action plan to mitigate risks and address areas of concerns.

IOA Contractor Assessment Support

Contractor Assessments — Contractor Assessments are not audits. Rather than conduct a comprehensive review of all past and present activities, a GSA Industrial Operations Analyst (IOA) will conduct these assessments with the aim to ensure your success in the marketplace and to evaluate your compliance with contract terms.

Annual assessments typically entail an evaluation of your sales reporting, pricing, TAA compliance, labor qualification compliance, payment terms, and general processes. At their discretion, the IOA may add additional areas to analyze if deficiencies are discovered during their initial review.

End of Term assessments occur in the fourth year of every five-year contract period. Similar to the annual assessment, the IOA will evaluate everything during the annual + the scope of your contract, the basis of award, your e-verify compliance, T&C’s, GSA Advantage! catalogue, among other items.
